Choosing to be green

Cisaplast for the environment
A greener future? We are ready for the highest goals.

Refrigerated counters account for about 50 percent of electricity consumption in the food retail sector.

The Cisaplast Group's challenge is to create cutting-edge solutions for closing refrigerated counters and cells: increasingly efficient glass frames and doors, capable of significantly reducing heat loss while improving store sustainability and cutting consumption and emissions.

Working well nowadays means knowing how to deal with the modern challenges of the refrigeration world: an increasingly extreme search for performance in terms of aesthetics and energy, to reduce environmental impact and operating costs.

A challenge that Cisaplast was able to take up immediately with enthusiasm, proposing year after year continuous technical innovations that are the result of research, creativity and a lot of experience in the field.

Green future
Focus on saving
How much does cooling cost? A lot.

Refrigeration is the largest source of electrical consumption in a store. A shopping center that wishes to cut costs significantly has a necessary way to go: improve energy efficiency.

When it comes to refrigerated counters and islands, efficiency comes first and foremost from the quality of the locking systems.

The door is a protection that separates a -25°C compartment from an air-conditioned environment designed for customer comfort. A 40-50°C temperature jump in which the refrigerator compressor and the air conditioning system, high-consumption machines, work to maintain precise temperature and humidity parameters.

The quality of the doors makes it possible to better insulate these two environments, reducing consumption by up to 50 percent and consequently halving energy expenses.

Designing Energy Saving

Cisaplast products are designed and manufactured with special attention paid to the most important parameters in the field of energy saving.

  1. LIGHTING SYSTEMS, with large differences in performance due to low-temperature operation.
  2. ANTICONDENSE HEATING ELEMENTS, present in the frames and some glass to ensure performance.
  3. COOLING SYSTEM, under stress due to poor insulation and to counteract heat from the anti-condensation and lighting elements.
  4. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, subjected to stress to balance the presence of the refrigerated systems.

After careful surveying by technicians, the new doors are built exactly to fit perfectly on the existing structure. There is minimal disruption to customers due to the short installation time, which allows them to operate during off-hours. The payback time of the investment is very short, making the operation convenient in every respect.

Retrofitting

Retrofitting in the LV field consists of replacing obsolete systems for enclosing and covering counters and islands with more technologically high-performance elements, with great economic and environmental savings as well as aesthetic and functional benefits.
